First they forget the oil cap.
He brings it back to rectify the error, and they give it back to him like this.
GJ, dealership.

I took mine to a Indy specialist. Broke the entire top section of my cap off.

We are so fed up with or local ford dealer, we are going to start taking the explorer to the chevy dealer for regular services.

My friends MKV ran way low on oil once because the dealership didnt re-assmble that airfilter/cover correctly. Just so happened we had driven an hour or so to a dragstrip and were in the middle of racing when the oil light came on.

They told me before I picked it up, they said it’ll function fine but difficult to take off to top up. I accepted because I needed the car the next day. I replaced it with an Audi R8 cap just this morning. Looks much better.

Surprised Ford hasn’t introduced that to keep its techs from losing them...

There are many reasons I change my own oil in all of my cars, and this is but one reason why. The main one being that human beings by and large suck, and you can’t trust anyone but yourself to do something right.

Thats really up there with the laziness. (I can say that because I’m willing to do an oil change despite my awesome laziness level). It looks like your friend may need to cross that place off their list and pick a new spot.
